At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, our long-standing partners, the Global Fund for Children, offered us their support.
In 2022 our focus in cooperation was on arranging shelters, psycho-emotional support for children and their parents in wartime and meaningful leisure within the project “Support for Mothers and Children in Wartime Ukraine”. To support and unite local residents of Zhytomyr community and internally displaced people, we painted together the walls in the basement of a residential building and also created 30 canvases as well as the mural “Volya”.We are thankful to the artist Anastasia Sladkovska for her cooperation and collaboration.
The co-managers of the initiative were: the Real Ukrainians Charitable Fund and the Local Neighborhood Cultural Space.
2022-2023.Later, the focus of our support within the new project "Safety: support for mothers and children of Zhytomyr region during the war" shifted to help and support mothers with children who were forced to relocate abroad, in particular, long-term online English classes were organized for primary school children aged 6-9 years old to improve the conditions for socialization and adaptation in new educational institutions and groups. And for women there were English speaking clubs to improve their knowledge and be able to be more competitive in the labor market, and therefore economically independent. Also under this project we took care of the children's safety during the dark part of the day, having provided them with reflective bracelets.
