Strengthening the capacity and interaction of entities implementing the regional action plan "Women. Peace. Security"

Result: Activities and achievements of the Coalition "Zhytomyr Region-1325" were presented, complicated issues were discussed in the context of developing appropriate policies and mechanisms to assist victims of the SNPK, strategies for the return of Ukrainian women with children from abroad, from forced migration, the results of the territory security audits conducted within Zhytomyr city territorial comunity and Semenivka rural territorial community were presented, the importance of conducting such events in the future was also discussed.

Development of a single method, material and notebook for co-implementers of the action plan.Result: a methodological manual and workbook were developed and distributed among the implementers of the regional action plan 1325 "Women, Peace, Security" within the communities of Zhytomyr region and other stakeholders.

The manual addresses the following issues:● Why is it important to implement the Women, Peace, Security agenda?● Why do we need a gender portrait of the community? Why should we collect statistics disaggregated by sex/gender?● Why is a gender analysis conducted and how can it be done?● What is the difference between the gender audit of an enterprise, institution and organization, an accessibility audit and the gender security audit?● Why is gender impact assessment important in the context of security measures, policies and programs?● What are the advantages of gender-responsive governance?● How to ensure transparency in the distribution of budget funds?● How to organize permanent work on providing services to internally displaced people in shelters?

Workshop for journalists "Features of covering the agenda of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women, Peace, Security" in the media.Result: the level of awareness of the journalistic community of Zhytomyr region regarding the agenda 1325 "Women, Peace, Security" has been increased, possible topics for coverage in the media were discussed.

Training program for psychologists on correctional work with offendersResult: specialists were trained to implement the "Model Program for Perpetrators" at the level of their communities in Zhytomyr region.
